Project Summary

Qualiquant was contracted by Oxfam/Poise Nigeria to conduct a workplace research aimed at understanding the level of gender discrimination in the workplace and to identify the various forms of discrimination experienced in the corporate world and its root causes against women taking higher leadership role opportunities, as well as to investigate more and identifying the social issues and other pertinent challenges on women aspiration for top leadership roles in corporate organizations. The methodology consisted of a mixed approach inclusive of qualitative data collection (in depth interviews, focus group discussion and desk research) and quantitative surveys on workplace gender discrimination among employee/jobseekers and employers. The quantitative sample size for the study was 450 and 50 for qualitative. This project was implemented in Abuja and Lagos states.
